Sunset Competition. Oct. 2nd, 2005 @ 05:38 pm
So, for those of you that don't know this already, the EMB won Sweepstakes at the Sunset Marching Band Classic this past Saturday. We won all of the caption awards (well, except for best Drum Major and Soloist, but those don't really count, lol) and our final score was 83.0. 1st place score (Grants Pass) was 76.45, 2nd place (North Salem) score was 75.95, and 3rd place (Southridge) was 75.0. Needless to say we smoked em, lol.

But it we did a fairly good job, good for the first competition at least. No major tears or major disastors. A lot of people said that we did a good job and that our show is pretty cool.

Our next competition is the Mckenzie Classic on the 15th.

**sigh** I'm tired. lol.

so let me tell you that in symphonic band ty eisiminger has us play this song that he "composed." we play it, and mr. kuske starts talking about how he thinks it's the coolest thing ever. ty then tells us how he came up with the melody first and then worked on chords. BS!! why you ask? because he never composed this song.

The song we played was an arranged version of Man with The Machine Gun from Final Fantasy 8. ty stole the work from noubuo uematsu and took for his own. he might not have even arranged it seeing how there's tons of sheet music for final fantasy on the web for free.

everyone can listen to ty's "genius" here Man with the Machine Gun. Just click the download linky.

Hi Guys,

I'm Dylan, the lead trombone player in the Sumner High School Marching Band. I was galavanting around looking for things I recognized, and here's what I found (along with Skyview). I've seen you guys perform, and you're amazing. I wish we could come up to your level. We'll be at the GFP, and the Fri. field show, but we could never be your equal, at least not this year. I was wondering how you keep prople going as the end of the year rapidly approaches, and what you could suggest I could do as a senior next year.

London - A musical condom that gets louder as the sex gets more passionate has been invented in Ukraine.

Different sexual positions determine what tune is played by the condom, reports The Sun.

The contraceptive has tiny sensors connected to a mini electronic device that produces the sounds.

Ukrainian inventor Dr Grigoriy Chausovskiy said: “There is no danger of being electrocuted.”

They will cost 20 percent more than normal condoms.

I found the most badass percussion ensemble and alto saxophone solo piece that I've ever heard in my entire life. And it just kicks so much butt. Who wants to do it with me? It's hot, I'm tellin ya. At least ask me for the mp3 so you can listen to how cool it is.
